Vidsys Names Michael P. Jackson Chairman and CEO

Entrepreneur and Business Leader Brings Deep Experience in Security, Transportation and Technology, with Service in Both the Public and Private Sectors

VIENNA, VA  ─ January 13, 2012VidSys, the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software that allows organizations to resolve business and security situations in real time, today announced that Michael P. Jackson has been named its new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  An active, independent board member since 2009, Jackson assumed leadership duties of VidSys effective January 11, 2012.

Jackson is an entrepreneur and business leader who is deeply experienced in security, transportation and technology, with service in both the public and private sectors.  Over the past three years, Jackson has provided valuable insight and guidance to the company from both product development and sales perspectives, and, in his new role, will increase such contributions.  His past positions include Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (2005-2007), Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation (2001-2003) Senior Vice President of AECOM Technology Corporation, a global family of design and engineering firms, and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin IMS’s Transportation Systems and Services.   At Lockheed Martin, Jackson managed market changing technology services such as electronic toll collection nationwide.
