In 2014, Vidsys successfully supported the City of Baltimore during its just completed Star Spangled Spectacular – a celebration of the 200th anniversary of America’s national anthem – that was designated as a Level 2 Special Event by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In Baltimore, Vidsys CSIM software created a common operating picture that connected nearly 50 local, state and federal agencies in one command center. The platform integrated roughly 1,500 security cameras, mapping technology, weather alerts, social media monitoring, mass notification, radar and more. Vidsys CSIM was used to monitor activities happening in the Inner Harbor, in the sky with the Blue Angels, and throughout the city. Land, air and water resources were coordinated efficiently to enhance public safety and ensure rapid response.
