Vienna-Based Vidsys Working with Houston on Super Bowl Security

This is an excerpt from Potomac Tech Wire featuring Vidsys’ work with the City of Houston during the Super Bowl.

Vidsys, the Vienna-based developer of a platform that converts vast amounts of security video and data into meaningful information, said it is working with the City of Houston as part of its security efforts for Sunday’s Super Bowl LI. Houston is using the company’s technology to share video and other data with security teams around the city, including police and fire departments, as well as its Office of Emergency Management, Real-time Crime Center and major venues. The Super Bowl annually draws crowds of more than a million people over the week, creating logistical, safety and traffic challenges. The company said it has been working with Houston on public safety initiatives over an extended period. “The City of Houston is a long-valued customer, and our team looks forward to supporting their city-wide security and smart city efforts during the Super Bowl this year,” said founder and CEO James Chong in a statement.
